Hope Alcocer King
Hope Alcocer is the co-founder and president of the Mia Joy Foundation. She is a Midwest Export now based in NYC/NJ.
She brings 15 years of experience as a marketing strategist, PR consultant, and certified mental health coach. She is the founder of Wonder Woman Media, a boutique consultancy serving nonprofits, startups, and women-led organizations. Her background spans brand strategy, public relations, and mental health coaching — a combination that shapes everything about how this foundation operates.

Garrett King
Garrett King is Mia's dad, in addition to 3 living children. He is the co-founder and board member of the The Mia Joy Foundation.
Having spent over twenty years in the film and video world, he leads the foundation's media and storytelling initiatives.
Garrett is a voice for grieving fathers, who are too often overlooked, and has begun reaching out to other dads walking similar paths.

Allie Karagozian, OTR/L
Allie Karagozian lives in Chicago, IL, with her husband and two young boys. She and Hope met in college and have remained friends ever since. Allie is an occupational therapist working in the outpatient mental health setting. She helps people adjust to life changes, new diagnoses, and unexpected events. She has a special passion for helping women through infertility and loss. Allie is serving The Mia Joy Foundation to support Hope's mission.
Allie and Hope have shared the ups and downs of life for over a decade, and she feels inspired by Hope's tenacity and bravery. She feels compelled to help make important changes in honor of Mia and her memory.

Helena Mirzoyan, MPH
Helena is a public health advocate with extensive experience in population health, clinical operations, and strategic program management across both public and private healthcare sectors.
Her work has focused on improving health outcomes, advancing equitable access to care, and driving operational excellence within complex healthcare systems.
The Foundation's mission resonates deeply with me because it recognizes that healing extends beyond healthcare settings and into the communities that surround families who need care.

Rebecca Smith, RN
Rebecca Smith is a seasoned nursing leader with over 17 years of experience, bringing a strong clinical foundation rooted in pediatrics and infusion care. Throughout her career, she has combined deep clinical expertise with a passion for improving patient outcomes, advancing care delivery models, and supporting high-performing nursing teams.
